Care
The best time to plant the bulbs is when the leaves start to fall from the trees. The soil will have cooled down enough by then. The bulbs can be planted at a depth of about 10cm in loose soil. The bulbs should be planted 5cm apart from each other. Tulips like a spot in the sun or semi-shade. When planted in solid soil, tulips can withstand all weather conditions. When planted in a pot, they are best placed in a cold shed during extreme frosts.
Size
The Lilac Wonder remains slightly smaller than other tulip varieties, it grows to approximately 15 cm.
